Established in 1995
Our tale first begins in the dinosaur era of 3D animation, the internet didn't exist, and computers still ran in DOS. Founded by Dylan Perry, the studio's early work was primarily TV commercials for the local market. The studio's first animated short film 'Macca Strewth - Australia's first Super Hero' was mastered to 35mm film and toured the country winning multiple awards and established Perry Animation as a key player in the growing Melbourne animation industry.
In 2000, after a trip to MIPCOM TV market in France, Petey and Jaydee was born. One of the most successful short format TV shows of its time, nine seasons of Petey and Jaydee sold to one hundred and thirty six countries with episodes still on air to this day. Completely independently produced, Perry Animation continues to create compelling and entertaining animated product and is currently in production of the feature film Petey and Jaydee - Legend of The Sword Stone, due for release in 2025.
